No shots here, I think it was what we needed to extricate ourselves from a toxic environment. I'll give him the (now) two years I said I would before passing judgment. I think the man knows more about basketball than 98% of the posters here so I'll let him be the boss since he actually, you know, has a job as a D1 head coach and all.

Good points from both of you, although I would say that 98% is kind of low. Think you might be off by a couple of percentage points. :-)

A coach has to be allowed to pick his own staff, and run his program the way he sees fit. Considering Smith's track record, I'm quite comfortable with him doing that.
