Ohhh! Let them do it, it would be huge for Memphis to get a team like this. Don't forget about what we want to do, is to show off our new facilities to the country. Look, I believe things are going to get better from this point on. I have to believe, because goodness gracious, I'm a very positive person when it comes to the tigers. I am very excited to see things popping in the direction we are headed.

You're most definitely a positive guy, that I can tell you. If this board passed out weekly or monthly awards, (which actually isn't a bad idea ) like best poster, most positive poster, and a few others, you Steve would win most positive hands down.


As for the game with lsu, it doesn't excite me at all. That being said we have to play someone and they do play in the sec.

Thanks! I try to stay positive Joe. I try to look ahead to see where this program can go, and I think it can go up. You know sooner or later, with the new facilities being built, playing at the FEF, and the atmosphere around here, I think we are going to be the talk of college basketball among recruits, dads, and mothers around the country. A couple ex: would be playing in a NBA arena, they get to practice in a beautiful new building, and the school is connected to the NBA. Sooner or later those recruits, I believe will start taking a harder look at Memphis. I believe we are well on our way of getting back to where we were. All of these connections is the harvest to bring in some of the best players around the country. There is no way that recruits will overlook Memphis sooner or later. Having said that, I really believe in the future, starting now it is going to get better and better.

Other schools know that Orlando has alienated all the local talent and they want to get in the market and create a foothold before the U of M wises up and fires Orlando.

With all the talent coming out of the city in the next few years. Every P5 school in the nation want to make inroads into Memphis.

Are Chris Jackson and Shaq playing?

Saw them play each other a few years back at the Tupelo Coliseum. Sat right behind Trent Johnson on the LSU bench. Absolutely confirmed that the guy was a terrible coach. It's a decent matchup. We recruit La, they want to recruit Memphis. Both are in rebuilds.
