And yes there's no doubt in my mind that if Memphis had won the championship the NCAA wouldn't had wiped the season away; it was a weak case with little evidence but the loss made it easier for them to hit Cal and Memphis got left standing there with the bag as he moved on

Jeremy Hunt was the only player I saw that represented Memphis during Cal's Hall of Fame inductee speech. Cal burst into tears overcome by emotions. I enjoyed it.

Yea it was a scar, it healed. I do not Hate Cal , just hate how Cal handled it. He knew what was looming over the Horizon, something wicked this way comes. Took the players left us holding not just a bag, but an empty bag.

Very fair representation. Well done. That was a great period of time for Memphis. John is a unique guy. He has a plan and knows how to execute it.

Pretty sure I saw Preston Laird as well.

Edit: Barron, Barclay, Taggert and Antonio Anderson were also present.

The only thing I really did not want to see was Calipari winning a championship the first year after he left Memphis. If he had won a championship with Wall and Cousins after recruiting them to Memphis, I would have been devastated. After that year, I was fine with whatever happened.

I had no idea Dejuan W. was related to WWW at the time. Cal was driven to be one of the elite coaches of all time. So happy Memphis was apart of his journey. It was an unbelievable ride! Seemingly, one has to wonder if he will ever truly be considered a great coach because of the one and dones. Interestingly, the kids want to stay in college for more than one year but he insists they leave after one yr to play in the NBA.

I'm really disappointed that they didn't interview Mark Goodfellow.

The guy gave us nine years and he did come back to talk to Memphis after he accepted the Kentucky job, which was a sign of respect and gratitude. I'm grateful he proved to the collegiate world the U of M could win a national title. Thank you, John Calipari!

There were 12 seconds left in the game. Memphis had the lead but if we don't miss those critical free throw shots down the stretch, (CDR & Rose) we win the championship game. Derrick Rose's refusal to foul the guy killed our chance to win a national championship. Great memories! One cannot help but like Cal. You can hate the guy all you want but he's an ambitious genius.

RE: Show of hands....
I watched it and enjoyed it. There was a lot of focus on UMass. I also had no idea World Wide Wes was Dujuan Wagner's unless, I always figured we got him because we hired Milt and signed his best friend Barclay. It was kind of cool to see how the WWW pipeline of players started.

All in all, it was a huge Calipari recruiting infomercial. He truly gets it and is good at it.

Side note: Gary Parrish said in twitter last night the following, but didn't go into detail (I can only insinuate that this was told through Cal's eyes and he likely had control over a lot of it to control the message):

Gary Parrish‏Verified account @GaryParrishCBS 11h11 hours ago

I’ll level with you. A lot of that was bull****. But John Calipari is 100 percent the person I’d hire to run my college basketball program.
