It is not fake news. Assad did gassed his own people. He is cold hearted dictator that needs to be removed for good. There are dictators on both sides in the Middle East that needs to be removed like Saudi, Egypt's military, Benjamin Nutso ever his name in Israel, Syria, Turkey, Russia, North Korea, China, some countries in Central and South America, and some countries in Africa.

This is the issue I have.. again, do we as the United States have the right to say.. "You're a dictator, we're overthrowing you" without any proof? Without any international agreements to do so?

Did we have the right to help assist with the overthrow of QadafI? (you could argue we were instrumental in that as a nation). Would we have the right to do the same with Assad?

Obviously we haven't seen those communications but it does make sense.

You could certainly have the same result if a Syrian plane dropped a bomb and hit a nerve agent container. Watch the plane drop the bomb, nerve agent is released, and people die.
