CEO wants O'Reilly off the air
James Murdoch, CEO Of Fox News’ Parent Company, Reportedly Wants Bill O’Reilly Off The Air Permanently
New York Magazine's Gabriel Sherman: "There's Talk Inside Fox News That Tonight's Show Could Be His Last"

Wow. That would be something. I've been watching him since 2000.

RE: CEO wants O'Reilly off the air
As we enter this new spring season, I’d like to take the opportunity to wish those celebrating, a wonderful Passover and Easter holiday. The first few months of this year have already given us much to be thankful for. Fox News just delivered its highest-rated quarter ever and remains number one in cable in both prime time and total day, while Fox Business has surpassed CNBC as the number one business channel on television. I am tremendously proud of our entire team and truly grateful for the hard work everyone has contributed to ensure our continued future success.
-- Rupert Murdoch, executive chairman of 21st Century Fox and chairman of Fox News

no matter the cost in lost revenue ...
fox must stand firm against a widening boycott ...
to succumb now ...
will only embolden the liberal mob and cynical opportunists ...

WHO GOT NEXT

Sexual assault payoffs to like 3 more women were discovered by the New York Times last week. And another woman is making the rounds telling her story of being sexually harassed by Bill after a job interview dinner, but she's not seeking any settlement from him.

Around 100 advertisers pulled their ads from his show.

He started an unannounced "vacation" last night mid-week. That rarely happens in this field unless for health reasons or a firing.

I think we've heard the last of him on that show for a little while. My guess is that they sent him to some sensitivity training or something in hopes of keeping their prime time cash cow.

I haven't really been following this story but I think it stems from the fact that Roger Ailes was forced to resign.

I'm assuming that the reasoning is that if Ailes was forced to resign because of sexual harassment, then O'Reilly should also resign since he has reached settlements in that same regard.

Nearly 60 companies have dropped ads on the "Factor." ... Major brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Allstate, Advil and Lexus have all withdrawn from the show -- leaving the program's commercial breaks stacked entirely with spots from obscure, less glamorous companies.

RE: CEO wants O'Reilly off the air
Probably haven't watched O'Reilly in five years, not that I watched regularly before that. So I won't be missing him.

However, since last week when Lawrence O'Donnell did the ridiculous show on Russia helping Trump look good, I've flipped on O'Donnell's show to see what he was talking about. On Tuesday and last night, when I checked, he was talking about O'Reilly. Talk about being obsessed. Seems that Larry has a bad case of ratings envy.

Well, he doesn't compete head-to-head with Bill, but his issue with Bill (other than that he's a pompous hypocrite) is that O'Reilly either sued him or threatened to sue him in the past. That's were any animosity likely lies.

O'Reilly has made much of his career talking about those other networks too so let's not pretend that O'Reilly is above the fray here.

It was pretty funny that Bill would always attack Olbermann, but childishly refused to ever say his name on air. 03-rotfl

Watched Tucker Carlson for the first time last night. That guy is all over the place. I couldn't follow his line of thinking.

Even the guy he was interviewing was getting confused.

He had a hard time answering because he really didn't want to tackle it.

He deals in too many hypothetical. Yesterday he kept asking, "What if the Syrian's didn't gas their own people?

What if it was the Russians?

etc. etc. How on earth can you expect legitimate answers when you are bombarded with those kinds of questions?

If you want honest answers, you have to deal with reality.

O'Reilly was sticking up for Ailes, and so was Hannity. Fox lost one of their ratings sweetheart because of what went down as Kelly walked out on Fox. I think Fox wants to get rid of Ailes cheerleaders like they let Greta go.
