+1, we haven't even had a season with the current head coach.

Fick is staying FOREVAR! Geef told us so.

I believe I called you out for being the resident chicken little, but believe what you'd like.

Don't worry about it. This is what he does. Gives you fake positions you never had to try to mock you. Not worth your time dealing with it.

Sorry if this thread is bothering people I was just interested in some friendly conversation about Gino potential to replace coach Fick if he decides to leave in a few years after reading some of the other threads it seemed like some people think he will only be here for a few years I really like this staff and what they are doing and hope the coach fick decides to stay and win here for years to come if the mods want to delete this thread please do I would but don't know how

Don't apologize. That's what this place is for.

Some seem to see "Could Gino mature into a quality HC we would want to lead us in the future when Fickell eventually leaves", as "Fickell is gone real soon, so I like Gino let's promote him! Make him coach in waiting!"

Gino is trending up, he is a smart coach, ace recruiter, and he freaking loves UC. So with some more experience and maybe a successful stint as a HC elsewhere, I'd be all for it!

I wouldn't lose sleep over it. When Gino was hired a few months ago, the majority of responses focused on his father's infamy, rather than the return of one of our best players to coach the running backs.

He may have been one of our best players, but that certainly doesn't make him one of our best coaches or a possible HC in waiting.

There have been some jumps from position coach to head coach. Harbaugh comes to mind. Wonder how often it's successful?
