What I saw was not animal abuse. Sorry. I grew up in the country with animals everywhere. I whipped dogs much worse for chasing cars. They stopped chasing cars, and survived, where neighbors' dogs died after being run over by automobiles.
Hell, we were "spanked" with switches all the time.
