She is aggressive and her ability to penetrate is pretty impressive. I mean no offense by this statement , but I give her the highest compliment that I can give a women's basketball player- she plays like a guy.
Let's hope she's in Marfo's ear when he gets back to GW, since she does follow him on twitter!

Regarding Rimmer, NCAA explicitly states, even if it's only 2 minutes, it counts as a year used. If he did get a waiver, he could just as easily decide to stay at FL for grad school. I don't think Murphy got his waiver granted until late last summer when he was able to transfer to Northeastern. A late decision may work in our favor, if that's even the scenario.

I am going to use logic here, which is probably a big mistake since we are talking about the NCAA. Adam Hess played his freshman year at Eastern Michigan and I believe played a portion of the schedule for the fall semester of his sophomore year before he decided to transfer to W&M. He enrolled at W&M for the spring semester and was not eligible to play for the Tribe until the spring semester of the next year, having to sit out one full season. He ended up having 2 1/2 years of eligibility left at W&M.

The reason that I bring this up with Rimmer is that if the NCAA really charged those two games that he appeared in during the fall semester of his sophomore against him, thereby burning that semester of eligibility, they would have made him sit out the following spring and fall semesters and not become eligible until the next spring semester, just like Adam, and he would have had 2 1/2 years of eligibility left. My guess is that if the NCAA granted him some sort of waiver that allowed him to become eligible the next fall, it is because they waived the little bit of time that he played the first semester of his sophomore year and gave him three full years of eligibility left.

2017 CAA Basketball Transfers
Let's look closer at Marfo's suitors that I can glean from the interwebs.

Seton Hall - Had official visit April 19th. Recruited him out of high school and close to home.

W&M - Official visit April 27th

Quinnipiac - Official visit May 9th

Coaches that follow on Twitter :
Eastern Kentucky -
UAB -

To me, the choice is obvious

Well, he definitely had a nice day, weatherwise, to visit.

RE: 2017 CAA Basketball Transfers
Apparently Marfo is doubling up his visits. Corey Evans on Twitter reporting that he begins his Quinnipiac official today. This is a day after his tribe official. Would have preferred a weekend slot, but it seems the W&M visit was a late addition. Hopefully, that is it and he makes his decision (**cough** **cough** for the Tribe) shortly after. Of course, I'm assuming that the Marfo visit actually happened. There has been no confirmation one way or another. Anybody see him around Williamsburg?

Quinnipiac is an interesting option. Closer to family and home. Coming off a poor season and hiring a new coach. He will be a primary recruit and building block for them. When he is eligible he will be the only big on the current roster. That may be appealing if he can be sold on that. Dunleavy/Pecora are probably a pretty good recruiting duo.

At W&M he would be a fantastic addition, but the cupboard is far more stocked. He'd be coming into an established team, rather than being the centerpiece of a rebuild.

I guess it depends on what he wants and who he feels most at home with.

I personally don't think Seton Hall is a serious player for him, but who knows?

@Jake_EZ tweets:
Minnesota transfer Ahmad Gilbert and GW transfer Kevin Marfo have committed to Quinnipiac, per source. Suck it, nerd @JonRothstein #scooped

I don't know who Jake is but he thinks he's got the scoop.

Still no real validation on that inference, so may be just hot air. We'll see. Kotie just started following Marfo. New asst coach for Quinnipiac was ex head coach for Westchester AAU program that Marfo played for. What's crazy is seeing that Quinnipiac's new head coach, 34 year old Baker Dunleavey is getting paid $800,000!

Agreed. Kid could have some kind of inside info, but judging by his twitter profile and other tweets he is less than credible.

That said, with what they are paying and who they hired, they expect to recruit well and win.

I didn't realize that his former coach is there. May be hard to overcome.

We are, so far, twisting in the wind.

We need some good news for certain.
