Since we're on the subject of targets of attack, what's your position on the manner in which Parrish, Calkins, Martin and Smith attacked our basketball coach for days after the Lawson exit. One episode by Martin and Smith was the most unprofessional and juvenile act I've ever heard on Memphis SportsTalk radio.

I am not sure which specific J and J episode you are referring to. I did not hear any personal attacks but I may have missed them. If they got personal it was uncalled for and would seem to be a dumb move while talking on the radio. I would be shocked if GP got personal considering he writes about college basketball for a living and it would not be in his best interest to talk badly about a universally respected coach and man.

Now if when you say "attack" you mean pointed out all the backwards stupid crap he has done since being hired I put those in a different category. You can scream from the mountain top that they all have agendas but I remember a thread where when pressed nobody could point out anything that they had said that was not accurate or factual.

Tubby was and is a terrible fit for this job. He seems to be hell bent on proving it too. Seems some simply want to kill the messengers delivering that message.

I understand you are "old school" and love the way Tubby does things but you are going to be on the wrong side of history on this one. It shocks me too because of how much you admire Norvell. He actually gets it and the results are bearing that out. Tubby, not so much anymore.

The question is why does he have a vendetta against Tubby?? Is it because they didn't hire who he wanted. Example the wonderful Steve Forbes.

My opinion only but parrish reached out to the administration when josh left to ask how he could help. They ignored his calls. Tubby is hired, who he's not close to, so that made him raise his eyebrows a little. Tubby isn't as accessible to some of the media as some would like, so he may not like that. Tubby doesn't broadcast what he's doing like other coaches have, so that's out of the norm for some of these media people. Finally, Tubby pays him and the rest of the media no serious attention. Parrish and others likely don't like that.
Parrish thinks he's on the inside with some coaches, maybe that's true and maybe it's not. Tubby isn't one of those guys so he's an outsider, a dinosaur of sorts to parrish.
And the best part to me is, Tubby simply doesn't care what these media folks think. I love that.
