I expect it to be a great series like it usually is, and probably relatively low scoring games. I don't think either team can afford to not make the plays that are there to be made (either mental or physical errors). TXST has a little better pitching, and the Cajuns have a little better hitting, but both teams have folks who can hit the long ball so games can come down to one swing.

I'm not sure about ULL, but I know LA will be ready.

Texas State has pretty much locked in their at large bid, but they still have an opportunity to win the Sun Belt regular season title. It will take a sweep of the Cajuns this weekend, presuming that both teams win out the rest of their conference games.

Nice win, Bobcats! Looking forward to a great series this weekend ... will be making the short drive from the Lake Travis area ... with stops at The Leaning Pear in Wimberley. Hopefully the flood situation in San Marcos has resolved itself and the rains stay away.

Cajun bats ruled the day winning 8-1 and 12-4 ... jumping all over Rupp in game #1. DJ Sanders hit three home runs (two grand slams) and Haley Hayden took Rupp over the center field wall in the first inning of game #1. Meanwhile, Alyssa Denham pitched 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball in game #1 and likely gets the call today vs. Rupp. It will be interesting to see how Rupp responds as she has not been treated well in games vs. the Cajuns (took losses in all four appearances vs. the Cajuns last season). I expect a tighter game today and now Texas State has seen Denham.

Heavy Cajun crowd yesterday ... expect more of the same today.

TXST salvages the series winning 2-1 on Saturday.

UTA beats South Alabama for the first time in program history this weekend. Two walk-off HR's on Friday allowed UTA to claim the series 2-1. USA blanks the Mavs to avoid a sweep.

Good finale. We've been hitting the ball pretty well lately and one run is our lowest total in quite some time. I was really surprised they replaced Rupp in the fifth. I guess we've had a pretty good record of long balls against Rupp so they didn't want to take a chance but it worked out (although we had some runners).
