I think so too. But it you paid the last two coaches what Memphis has, why would you take the job for 750K? Insult!!

How can you be fair when reporting on someone you are close, personal friends with or a university president who wouldn't return your calls for unsolicited advice?

Yep, and surprisingly he admitted that the way he reached out to Rudd was "probably inappropriate."

But then he went on to whine about how Rudd never gave called him back to consult him. Went on and on about nobody in this city knows the program better than he (GP) does and then bragged about how ADs and Associate ADs from all over the country call him all the time to ask for advice on specific coaches.

I would be willing to bet that Parrish makes out with his mirror when he gets home at night.

Is Parrish the guy who was recently complaining that no one on the staff had reached out to him to get his advice about Memphis basketball?

Yes, I heard that on the podcast of his news after the Lawson's announced they were leaving. Set a world record for name dropping in a radio spot.

As for Forbes, why is he still at ETSU? I think he is a good coach, but he ain't Izzo, or K. The only reason he is mentioned is because some people think they would have access if he were the coach.

He still has some Pearl on him?

Maybe, but previous coaches who won more, failed when they left. You can't just look at the record, it will be inflated.

You act like he's been there a decade. He's only been there 2 seasons. Maybe he's happy there? Didn't he just get a raise? Aren't you supposed to be a ETSU fan? You preferred Murray Bartow?
Still a WEAK conference. I think Sonny Smith left at 2 years. The only thing that saved him at Auburn was Barkley falling into his lap.

He should have got a raise. I'm sure a lot of coaches got raised last year. He will be gone in 1 to 2 years, but that doesn't predict future success. Weak conference.

Well if he came here he wouldn't exactly be coming to the ACC or Big East

Yes. He said he gave the staff a list of 10 people in the area they needed to call and he doesn't think they've listened to him.

That's a crazy thing for a guy working in the market to do, and even crazier for him to publicly talk about it.

RE: Parrish ideas about Tubby
We can piss on GP all we want. He's not the one who broke a promise to the father of our 2 best players - the same guy who could bring you 3 Top 25 players in the next 3 years. He isn't the one who let the incoming coach demote that same man in favor of his son...who has accomplished absolutely nothing since joining the staff. He isn't the one who hired a has-been, past his prime coach for $3M per year...without a buyout...the same situation that screwed us with Pastner.

If we want to be upset, point it at the administration, the boosters, and this current staff.

GP is just trying to think of answers to the problem before Memphis basketball is DePaul.

I judged him 10 games in, losing games my crippled butt could have coached to a win. Watched two & half games since then and he lost all three of those.

PATHETIC!
