My son William McFadden writes for SEC Country and Saturday Down South, he was the one who posted the twitter feed in this story. He even called me to tell me about the hit...

Talked to a MSU friend of mine after seeing this here. He said MSU's HC Mullen was super p#ssed and told that DB to get out of his sight. Just a really dumb*** hit.

Nah...nothing unusual here about MSU...just more of the same stupidity.

I see it as more like that's what you get when you fumble the pitch on an option.

Nothing that bad there, in my opinion. That's football. I wish that safety was enrolled at USM instead of MSU, though.

Not on your own teammate. That's the difference.

RE: Miss St Player Target Hits Teammate in Spring Game
I mean from the fan perspective, you think well that's stupid hitting your own teammate like that. But from the players perspective, I'm sure he's been told a hundred times to "treat practice just like a game" and was locked in on playing, especially in the spring game. He may even be in a competition for a starting job. So while it's certainly questionable just because of how he hit the guy, it's not the total idiot move some people are making it out as.

During the spring game, he was the opponent.

So the qb is fair game? It's still a game right?

This is being over dramatized....I'm sure by Miss St, just for publicity reasons. I've seen much worse than this. If you look at it slowly, the defender doesn't even get a solid lick on the guy....he grazes him. This doesn't even rank in my Top 50.

They put different colored jerseys on the QB for a reason. This isn't flag football or a junior high girls powder puff football game. It is Div 1 (now, FBS) college football. It is a physical sport, and people get injured.

MSU is gonna have a great year. The guy saw the fumble right? They couldn't even execute an option pitch.
