Great interviews with Tulsa's Frank Haith and Athletic Director Gragg

- Haith recommends an East-West schedule. Play everyone in your area home and home, and then you play everyone else.
- Great to see a basketball driven move
- They enhance an already great league
- Tremendous amount of respect for Gregg Marshall and Wichita State
- We're a power 6 conference
- Our league is already good from a recruiting standpoint but will get even more competitive
- You're going to get multiple bids to the tournament
- Talks about Tulsa-Wichita rivalry. Wichita still owed them for a game they didn't get to play (jokes)

- AD Derrick Gragg talks scheduling
- Anytime you add a program with the pedigree of Wichita State it bolsters the league even more
- Big time rivalry
- No lose by going to 12/12
- A lot of excitement. Wichita State travels great too.
- P6, we don't take a backseat to anybody

No. I don't want to get stuck playing ECU and USF (no offense, guys) home-and-home every season. Luckily it sounds like match-ups will be determined by TV, so the Wichita's, Cincinnati's, and SMU's of the world should be playing twice a year regardless.

You do realize that at some point, USF and ECU will get good, and someone else will be down. Things go in cycles. just few years USF won 2 NCAA tourn games. They new coach could do that within 2 years if he can recruit. Then again, maybe he won't, but you just never know.

I think it's safe to assume ECU will never be good at basketball.

Neither is Memphis, now that they are a "football school." lol

So if the below were the top 6 and bottom 6 for next season then you would have 2 against the bottom and you could pick 1 based on region and 1 based on strength and maybe they are the same thing. So maybe Wichtita plays Cincy, SMU, Temple, Houston, UConn, Tulsa and Memphis twice and the rest once.

Wichita
Cincy
SMU
Temple
Houston
UConn

Tulsa
UCF
Memphis
USF
Tulane
ECU

Or you could do it "geographically" in pods of 4. Play your pod home and home, and 2 teams from the other 2 pods home and home. Build up some rivalries. This way, you cycle through the entire league home and home every 2 years.

UConn
Temple
Cincy
Memphis

Wichita St
Tulsa
SMU
Houston

UCF
USF
ECU
Tulane

Scheduling one and done/home and home conference games will be determined by maximizing marquee match ups in order to maximize TV ratings.
