Nope-I was in Lima at the Upstairs Ballroom watching Iggy jump from the balcony. And Nugent, Grand Funk, Bedlam Rift, Seger, Blue Cheer and a host of famous or near famous for the princely sum of .50 to $1.50. UT and Toledo were a couple years away.

Saw those (Detroit) bands many times at the Grande Ballroom as the opening acts. Back then you could see every great rock and blues band in the country for 5 bucks. Also great groups at the old Sports Arena and the UT Field House where I saw Hendrix. There was about four years until they started doing big arena shows and then everything changed.

Can't remember that much about it, to be very honest, but I was there. I kinda remember Alice Cooper and SRC a little. I remember where I sat in proximity to the stage. You'd think I would remember MC5 and Amboy Dukes, but I just don't. It's been too many years. I remember Goose Lake a lot better.

Yeah. I think Grand Funk was 5. Didn't they really gouge us for Zeppelin--like 8 bucks or something? Maybe 10? Remember the girls in the white dresses with Peace, Love, etc. stitched all over them?

Never made it to the Grande Ballroom, but saw them a lot at other venues around the region. Some of the local forgotten places were you might have caught those Grande acts would be like the all-night jams at the Gigolo, The Cave, Miracle Mile Ballroom, Full Tilt Boogie Ballroom, and Ohio Theatre.

The Agoura on Dorr St. also had some pretty good acts back in the day. (Steppenwolf, Savoy Brown)

james gang, the raspberries, badfinger, glass harp, rainbow canyon, etc
originally the toledo agora was the draught house. before that a bowling alley. if you can image no driving night out starting with dinner at lum's then hitting benny's west, agora, with a taco boy run during sets, the tabard, benny's east, all along door street, then the bancroft establishments, ending up at the secor grill. later the the garage(the incinerator) and the palladium were added to campus night life. ut was a rocking' campus back in the day.

It ALWAYS ended up at Secor Grill. Remember watching two waitresses duke it out over a common boyfriend one early morning. Loved that place.
