Worked on this before the season started but never got around to posting it. Could be relevant Tuesday. Had to pull up some old media guides and box scores for this info. Only the top 15 crowds are on the USM site (and it's slightly out of order).

USM is 28-22 in these games. 26 of these games were against ranked opponents. 36 times in PTP history over 4,000 have come to a game.

Games with an asterisk are NCAA Tournament games.

Quick correction: Rice game on 4/23/16 was a loss. Had it marked as a W. Should be fixed.

Can't remember the date or the venue (either Hattiesburg or Jackson) when we beat OM on a walk off 2 run HR in the 9th. I remember they advertised it as two of the better pitchers in the country dueling off...I think it was somewhere around '07 maybe??

The best thing about the OM game tomorrow is the starting time- 7:00 PM. We should never start a night game before 7:00 PM. 6:00 PM weeknight start times are ridiculous.

Cox said the late start is because Bianco wanted to keep his players in class a little longer before making it down here. So Berry agreed to push it back an hour.

Godfrey Buchanan and Wyatt Barbour (not the names of actual Ole Miss players, but might as well be) must have to catch their Southern Studies class at 11:00 before taking the bus to Hattiesburg.

Baseball players don't have class after 12noon during the spring. When would they leave Oxford to get here for a 6pm game? You have to be on the field for 2pm for practice on non game days.

Just assumed they wanted a later starting time to give people more time to get to the game after work.

I think they would start at 7:00 on weeknights if teams weren't wanting to get back to school for class the next day. Ole Miss doesn't have that concern, assuming they are stopping by here on the way to Baton Rouge like they usually do.

Bianco probably wanted his players to get to as many classes as they could if they are going to miss the rest of the week.
