So, in the trade they'd get Aames, Waco, Manhattan KS., and Fort Worth?
How will they monetize that?
If it were up to you, the Big East probably would have procured Hattiesburg Mississippi. As the Iowa State AD said, without OU/UT they are the MWC.

They would getting programs that have had success in the past and have large enrollments, high budgets and better name recognition.(in both major sports) Are Greenville, Tulsa and a New Orleans that doesn't really care about Tulane really more valuable than the markets you mentioned? A b12 without texas and Oklahoma but one with UConn, Houston, Memphis, Cincy, SMU and some of UCF,USF and Temple would not be the MWC it would be better

They'd (ESPN) get those programs via adding them to the American. It makes no sense for the teams with the markets to pay 10 million a piece to join a few rural schools. UT and OU have one foot out the door because of the perceived value of the others.
Those athletic budgets will be adjusted the moment UT and OU leave town. It's just a different song. Same musical chairs.
