The Grizz winning percentage is no better than the Tigers this year. Or years past.

LMFAO

Now you will tell us the Zags are better to watch cuz they have a better winning percentage than the Warriors.

I'm just telling you the Grizz win no more than the Tigers. They lose as much as they win. Barely above .500 except for one year. They make the playoffs and then lose in first round. Tigers did that for years and the fan base booked and the media bashed. I like the Grizz, but lets be real.

Wrong.

How so?

Memphis Tigers this year .590
Griz .538.
Tigers win at a better percentage and always have, every year.

RE: Welcome aboard.....Wichita State
Will be neat having WSU in the league. Especially next season they will be a real force. Looking down the road....these things tend to ebb and flow, and assuming we get things back in shape over the next few, will be an impressive league...Memphis, Cincy, UConn, Temple, Wichita State, and even UCF nod SMU.

Remember, it was not until his third season that Calipari made it to the NCAAs, and he experienced massive numbers of transfers early. Did not win a game in the tourney until his fourth season and was not a force until his SIXTH.

Pastner made it to the NCAAS in his second, ran off four in a row, the last three as locks, the last two with wins. Then the bottom fell out. If you define bottom as winning seasons but short of tourneys.

Point not specific about Tubby just the idea that a few seasons outside is fairly normal, and does not change the fact we are a major program that should welcome another program ... doing better than us now, but over the next decade...not as likely but still a great addition.

With a great mascot.

They won a baseball title a quarter century ago too didn't they?

The Grizz have made it to the conference semis twice and conference finals once in the last 6 seasons of playoffs. They have been ousted thrice in the first round - excluding last season's injury ravaged season, the other 2 series were lost in Game 7.

The Grizz had 3 straight seasons of 50+ wins. So your barely above .500 stat is BS unless you are trying to say a .600 50 win season in NBA is mediocre LOL

A 50 win regular season in the NBA translates to a 19 win regular season in college. A 50 win NBA Season is very good. It's hilarious how some folks would say anything to downplay Grizz success.

It's good to have 12 teams playing bb rather than 11. Good add for the AAC.

I do expect some historically epic beat downs of the Tigers next season though. Not going to be a lot of fun getting crushed 8-10 times; maybe more.

I'd be pretty excited about this if I expected us field a D1 team in the next few years.
