RE: Wichita State unanimously voted into the AAC . Announcement 1pm
As expected, a quick look at the UConn board finds them generally turning their noses down at the WSU addition. As if they're relevant in any sport to have such an attiude. Anyway, all razing aside, WSU is a great addition to AAC hoops. Should be fun.

Cincinnati did it as a matter of routine while in the MVC. Will do so again.
See... the weird thing is, according to kenpom - you know that predictive measure that pro sports gamblers rely on, and the guy the NCAA is using to help re-shape the antiquated RPI - WSU has finished above Cincy every season this decade save for one, and the average margin of something like 20 spots isn't even really close. From an empirical perspective, during that same period, WSU has had 10 NCAA wins, a F4, a S16, and a #1 seed. In the same context, Cincy basically halves those results (to be generous), with 5 NCAA wins and a S16.
I guess what I'm saying is, WSU is absolutely thrilled to now surround themselves with more respectable and accomplished programs, but if some are under the assumption they're the big dogs going into the little dogs house to show him how the real world works, then they're quite likely in for a pretty substantial case of cognitive dissonance here in about 8 months or so.
Cincy sweeps WSU next year. Just like old times. We do appreciate the RPI help though.
Maybe if The Big O reincarnated walks out for ya......
Nah, probably not even then
Actually, he'll be at every "home" game.
