I think we are a two bid league with being a possible three bid league.

Right now we're a one bid league. We've got to get better. Without the St. Peter series the Cajuns would probably be in the 50's and will go up quite a bit once St. Peter's actually wins one game.

I've honest to God never heard of St Peter's before today. How'd you guys end up in a series with a small, MAAC, Jesuit school in New Jersey?

Just a perfect mix of teams not being available or not wanting to come here that weekend. The assistant coach struggled to get that weekend made for a while and in the end that was the only D1 option available. As GoneGolfin has mentioned on RP, we would have been better off playing a non-D1 team. The games wouldn't have gone towards the RPI, and there are teams within driving range that are better than Saint Peter's.

It never ceases to amaze me that people would use a knock off when the real thing is available to them.

Should be good. Looks like the Cajuns have some great pitching and we have a better offense. Our pitching should be a strength but started off slow. We look to be getting into mid-season form though can still get better.

We'll be lucky to get two teams into NCAA Regionals. Despite the Top 10 conference RPI, we're sort of beating each other up and not closing out some of the big games that we've had opportunities to win.

The one run losses to Memphis, MTSU and especially uga hurt...other than that cant ask for much more. We have not been swept in a series but as of now those three losses is likely keeping us out of regional conversation. We are going to have to likely win the tourney or sweep the ooc to get a regional invite. The Mercer series will be big for GS and the conference they are killing it this year.

Funny thing is, this conference can be a Top 5 conference, but for whatever reason every single team seems to be having some troubles, including the Coastal Carolina and Louisiana, both of whom were ranked in the Top 25 to start the season.

Ranked high in RPI, lose a game to a lower RPI team, not enough games against teams ranked higher to bring that ranking back up.

Probably opponent win percentage.

GS has more non-conference wins than any other Sun Belt team and is in second place for total wins and is in fourth place in the RPI. The teams we've been playing for midweek games minus Georgia Tech just aren't that good.
