Very, very sad news.

How does a guy like Dave (reportedly) become addicted to heroin? What a kick in the pants.

Always liked Dave because he was one of the little guys, playing bigger than his size.

RIP Dave Gove.

It started with opioids prescribed for an injury. A mutual friend tried very, very hard to help Dave get his life back, but the addiction was just too strong.

That really sucks. It seems so easy. Props to your friend for doing his best to help.

Shame that a guy with so much going for him had it end like that. He had so much life ahead of him.

Very tragic. Gove was in Cape Cod real estate in Centerville, MA. He had everything going for him beyond hockey and family support.

I am so sad that this young man's life ended so needlessly and tragically.

Tragic story. Imagine having to carry that weight all those years.

These stories are so infuriating. You hear about them everywhere in sports and hockey. Guy molests young boys and holds their futures and their hockey dreams over their heads.
