I have a complete view of the property from my office (it's on the beach, not next to the Bates Motel ) ...I saw smoke, obviously not from the hotel itself...NO ALARMS INSIDE HOTEL WENT OFF...I had my front desk manager call 911 (Fire Dept is only blocks away), and wait for my call from walkie talkie....the smoke looked ominous because of the flammable pool supplies, but it certainly was not from a burning bldg....so my maint. man and I cleared pool area and did our best to make sure it stayed a small fire ....END OF STORY

next time I'll take your advice, stay safe near the front desk and shout "ALL IS WELL...ALL IS WELL"

Thought the situation was just funny story on a boring day...my whole story was tongue-in-cheek....EVERYTHING WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY AND BY THE BOOK BY THE WAY---BECAUSE, THAT IS WHAT I DO....but some of you guys live such miserable lives, everything becomes a big friggin' deal..

oh yeah...almost 900 hits...450 from our Junior Firefighters BDR and nuggy...so maybe I'll post next about my heroic act helping that lil' old lady across the busy street...
