They got added to the MWC in June 2010. At the time, there was some speculation that Utah might leave for the Pac 10.

Sure enough, 5 days after Boise accepted, Utah got a Pac 12 invite.

Fast forward 7 years. There's some talk about UConn joining the Big East. Then the focus shifted to Wichita State.

Is anyone concerned that shortly after we add Wichita State, Uconn will bolt? Is this a replay of the Boise-Utah dance?

We will be gone as a soon as a p5 offers us a spot IMO. Don't act like all of ya'll wouldn't want to be in a p5 conference as well

They are not leaving unless they get a Big 10, ACC, Big 12, or SEC offer. Going indy in football would be a huge mistake and limit them ever getting to the big time.

Agreed; they would end up like Umass as a has been bball team with a homeless division 1 football team.

I hope in the long run you guys can join us.

UCONN to the ACC makes too much sense.....so they will get an invite to the SEC.

I feel like our football program could survive against the lower half of the ACC. We wouldn't win a game against most B10 schools.

UConn leaving the AAC after Wichita State joins is very possible... But than again anyone would for any high revenue league as well.

You don't need to worry. We're not going anywhere, at least not anytime soon.

Any American school could survive a move to the ACC. Look at Virginia Tech. Look at Miami. Look at Syracu... Let me re-phrase this. Most schools can survive a move to the ACC. Connecticut being one of them.
