It seems very random for a Terre Haute paper to say rumors are GCU is pouring money to make it happen. Got to be some element of truth.

MVC should take them and NMSU but doubt they're smart enough. WAC remains in tact.

Fan list. Meaningless.

UIC or Valpo. Although Denver, Omaha and Belmont are mentioned for the conference to go big (12 schools). Problem is some in the MVC still think they can pull SLU in, and they have unrealistic targets. When the day is done probably UIC or Valpo. I do think Omaha will get a serious look.

I am of the opinion the Horizon will look over it's options after and decide on nobody for the moment.

Well it's definitely worth a shot. Who knows maybe Denver might have a change of heart after watching how successful GCU has became in such a short amount of time. Are they willing to drop their ego for a more competitive league? I hope so. That would be such a fun little league to watch.

Denver's mix of sports is not acceptable to the MVC. Been there, tried that. DU were told to join they would have to add sports, including baseball. DU said no. They will not be going to the MVC.

NMSU and UMKC are the only two WAC schools being discussed that have a shot. NMSU would be asked to pay travel subsidies and even then, it is doubtful the budget conscious MVC schools would take them. UMKC, gets invited if they choose 3.

The MVC will look east to the Horizon for a single replacement, east (again Horizon) and into KC or Omaha if they choose more then one.
