I actually agree with the bold portion somewhat. However, my suspicion is that there is a reason he is holding out for that (ie, last resort). I think he wants to let this play out to see how many politicians shoot themselves in the foot. How wide is this?

By the same token why aren't Democrats coming forward with THEIR findings? We know for a fact now that the Trump team was being monitored since last July at least, some say even earlier. Supposedly there's all this dirt out there but so far we haven't seen much other than what is implied in news stories. I know you'll disagree with that but the bottom line is I'm talking about real "evidence", as in, the kind that would hold up in court.

Another thing, if they had all this dirt on Trump / Russia collusion, why did the Obama administration not blow the whistle before November 8th?

Trump is President. He can do whatever the **** he wants. Elections have consequences.

1. Could be because we are better off if it goes through congress and they connect the dots to get the whole story. Otherwise, the appearance will be that the evidence was fabricated by Trump to jail his political opponents a la Muh Putin.

2. We don't know how far-reaching this is, who was involved, or who knew what and when. He may well be holding it to "protect" certain congresscritters to use as leverage down the road.

To be serious, I think perhaps the records will show Trump and crew were not the first of the Obama administration domestic political opponents to have the intelligence services weaponized against them.

If they did it to Trump, you'd have to assume they did it to all other Republican presidential candidates, and probably Sanders as well. It seems clear that Rice was using her position for political surveillance. Wonder how other files exist for other political opponents of Obama?
