FTR, I've maintained that he should get 3 years to get us to the NCAA tournament. That's not the ultimate goal for the program but it is the first step on the road to relevance. After that I think he needs to build... by the end of his contract I'd expect at least 1 Sweet 16. Those were my expectations...they are fair.

What he's done seems to really affect that timeline and the goals...but it's only been 1 year. We will see...

I share your same expectations my guy but the overall panic displayed on this board is unrealistic. We don't know Tubby's connections elsewhere. I think one of the reasons he took the job reignited an opportunity for him to win at a higher level here.
Given an equitable chance to rebuild...I think we will be pleased with the outcome. The hysteria is illogical.

I don't think it's necessarily illogical. Losing the best 3 players and the 3 best local recruits isn't a great way to instill confidence.

Anyone that uses his kids as leverage so he can better himself is a loser. I don't blame Tubby for not liking the guy.

Throw out the trash!

Better days ahead. Go Tigers!

How about someone using himself as leverage to better the kid - like Tubby and Saul?

Wow - some will make any excuse for a coach.

It's the same difference.

Most parents would but is he doing the job? At least with Keelon you got a return on the money. JMO.

Not even close. I'll admit that I'd rather see a strong recruiter in the job than Saul. But a father helping a son is much different than a dad whoring out his kids for personal gain. This is a fairly unique situation. Out of the top 100 players this year, how many made a package deal with their dad? How many dads publicly announce that they will take their kids with them if are given a job?

The Porter kid that was committted to Washington was part of a deal like that. It happens.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen. But it doesn't happen often. We hired Wagner.

It's still very unusual..

Tubby probably doesn't like parents that are pimps.

RE: More Twitter Drama (Lawsons)
How can anyone expect to win at a higher level when they cannot land higher level players?

What’s unrealistic is the way this team fell apart in the latter part of the season. Being optimistic is good but having insight as to what could be realistic in 1-3 years ahead gives you a clue what is needed and what to expect.

If not then you’re basically clueless.

Okay then.

A lot of power conference head coaches don't have that same problem - plenty are calling. Plenty.

At least the Tigers can lose with dignity next year?

Sweet.

We weren't going to be good next year anyway. Maybe we'll find more kids that don't quit.

Sure, someone else will take this loser. We'll be fine...

We haven't a clue relative to their prospective replacements. We don't know Tubby's strategies or plans thus far. I simply choose to wait and see what happens as opposed to erratically predicting a catastrophic season next year. I understand your unquestionable concern. My trust is in the guys who are paid to get it done. Joe Esposito tweets, "Great days ahead" I'm inclined to believe the positive outlook.
