Football - ECU. We've played them more than any other FBS program. It's been almost annual since 2005. ECU leads the series 6-5 since then but they like to include the 4 games from when we were still D1-AA when talking about the series record.

Honorable mentions - Memphis who we've played almost as much as ECU, but the series is lopsided in both football and basketball. Tulsa who we've met in multiple conference championship games. UConn and the Civil ConnFLiCT

i'm glad you see who ur true rival is. The conFLiCT will never die...

I think Tulsa-UCF, Tulsa-Memphis, and maybe Tulsa-ECU are good b-list rivalry games in football.

Basketball-- Memphis (I'd love if playing UWCF in basketball was fun, but I don't think both teams have ever been good at the same time, the rare times one of them is good at all...)

My top 3:

Basketball:

UConn - best basketball rivalary in the league IMO
Memphis - history
SMU - only program at our level right now
Honorable Mention: Temple, Tulsa

Football:

Memphis - we owe them a few beatdowns
Houston - best program in the league past few years
East Carolina - our games always seem to be intense, plus good smack talk between the fan bases
Honorable Mention: USF, UCF, Temple

Yeah, I've always taken issue when other ECU fans bring that up. If they want to go down that road then they should recognize that App State has a winning record over us too.
