MADDIE APPEAL DENIED

It's unfortunate how this Maddie situation went down. He really was the difference between having an average/ good year and an average /poor year. Someone indicated in a prior post to open up the competitions from "end to end". Normal thinking, most would say.

But he has declared that Maddie's spot is a competition between only 2 players at the START of spring. What coach thinks like that? Obviously one with an offense that blows through five quarterbacks in any given year. Some of us here have heard from the players that he has kids at several positions (O and D) who are not getting shots.....and they are some of the hardest workers and most talented on the team. Primarily because 1) HE didn't recruit them or 2) they are walk ons ......Put your pride at the curb. Spots mentioned were WR, LB, QB, OL.

Maddie at least had some stability with his age and athleticism that offset this type of thinking from the main man. He is going to be sorely missed.h

Huh? Who on this team did Carey not recruit? Just some seniors? It's mostly his team at this point. And even for those, he was still on the coaching staff when they were recruited.
