Doing a DIY project to replace a weird raised dining room with an actual floor that's conducive with our life, I was at Home Depot in Fridley, Minnesota by the cutting center. As I was finishing up, a man walks around the corner wearing an Old Dominion football hoodie.

"You don't see many of those around here."
"No you don't"
"I went there ..."
"So did I" (this one I assumed already)

We have a quick conversation about how long we've lived in Minnesota. What's killing me is as I walked out, I didn't have a card on me and I was so caught up in getting home to put in my subfloor, I forgot to exchange numbers. One other ODU alum I know lives up here, so it would be cool to have a football watch buddy up here locally.

So here's a shot in the dark, if "Jimmy" in Fridley, Minnesota is reading this board, contact me! I've already tried the alumni directory, but I noticed my own listing was outdated, so this is a shot in the dark.

I'm not Jimmy but you might have better luck looking him up on LinkedIn or Facebook. Using the three filters you have and it should narrow it down to the one Jimmy who is an ODU alum in Greater Minneapolis.

Well I was hoping Razor Ramon Monarch could help me come up with my entirely new playbook being that he's such a basketball genius!

I think we have an alumnus who plays for the Vikings who lives up there too. Maybe it was him :)

Hey Wildman, I'm a native Minnesotan who got my MBA from ODU while I was in the Navy. I'm in the Twin Cities all the time on business (Target is my account). I wear ODU gear often, so if you ever see me, say "hello." It's always good to meet another "Frozen Monarch!"

Well, I don't think my identity is a mystery for anyone. This is actually the only message board I haven't posted under my actual name, but I don't exactly hide it.

If it makes you feel better I'm from Minnesota. Mostly in Saint Paul/Maplewood area but I'm also very familiar with Duluth. I've tried to convince my wife to go back, but each visit mosquito's were a little too eager to welcome her.

Nice to know that there are a handful of Alum back home.
