Louisiana as a 14th seed would be a welcome ranking but with what we have done so far we would have a lot of work to do to be considered. We'd almost have to win out for that to happen and we know we will drop a conference game or two.

Was this supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Cajuns?

As the Cajuns go, yes.

They lost a lot of firepower (something like 67 home runs) from last year's team and went into the season without a bonafide #2 pitcher. Alyssa Denham has taken over that pitching spot behind Alex Stewart. The Cajuns are having to play differently this season without those boppers.

They're getting it done, though.

But going in, yes, there were plenty of question marks...more than in the last five years or so.
