RE: Realignment Exercise: Concentrate the 32 conferences into 29 without dropping schools
p-5 schools would not mind contraction, living of 36 bids is tough
A-10 would like thier tourn in brooklyn, they need NYC area schools
A-10 COULD POSSIABLLY LOSE 4 SCHOOLS
Horizon already to backfill, MAAC, CAA would also need to backfill, in turn NEC backfills
a few might benifit with 12, that would take of American East
Southern conf would benfit taking 4 fla schools from Atlantic SUN
B-So would take 2
NJIT is already gone
WAC is playing itself out of exsintance
B-W & B-Sky need rpi help
the other schools have natural fits elsewhere

The easy way out is to shutter three conferences and tell everyone to fend for themselves as independents, but for small schools, that's a death sentence.
Well if the WAC and Horizon each lose a couple of schools to WCC/BW/MVC, then the WAC and Horizon can divide up the Summitt. That's one. That actually seems likely to happen at some point.
If A 10 loses a couple to BE and pulls a couple out of the CAA, then you have 38 schools between the AE, CAA, MAAC and NE, so you could split up the Northeast into the other 3. That's two.
The other one would have to be in the South. Atlantic Sun only has 8. Southern, Big South, Ohio Valley and Sun Belt could absorb a net of 8.
