But here comes OT! And the restaurant kicks us to the curb...so we took off running to the next location with a big screen....

Where we got to see the last 4 mins, including toughass Morgan William scootch in to take the charge---which seemed like it could have gone either way. lol

I was about dying watching William dribbling around while the seconds ticked.. ticked ticked off the clock

till lordy mama, she hits the game winner over that shotblocking giant.

wow. good stuff

I watched the last 10 seconds of the game and the aftermath and, despite all the disreputable elements, it reminded me of the reasons I relish college basketball - the unadulterated joy, the bedlam, the passion.

MSU coach now on TV giving the ole "no respect" speech. And "nobody picked us" speech. Dang, must every stinking coach and player use that. Must be Coaching 101. Even the East High coach was saying that after his Mustangs won the State Championship. His team was in the Top 5 all year long and he is trying to convince everyone that no one respects his team. Give me a break.

Better be happy he got a pass due to it being a final four game. An outburst like he had after they explained the flagrant 1 call would have gotten him a T in a regular season game. Maybe even tossed.

Amazing that with all of his success Geno's name never seems to come up for any men's jobs. Maybe he's made it clear he'd never leave UConn for ANY other job?

That was my point about annoying.

No team would have been picked against UConn...yet it was widely recognized they were good...a 2 seed with well over thirty wins.

Just coach 'em up coach...and try to spread the good will to your fan base to extend that level of respect to everyone.

RE: UCONN Women
UConn killed themselves for the most part. Spent most of the 1st quarter sitting back and jacking up shots from outside. 4-12 for the quarter and half of the shots 2-6 were from 3.

They only took 7 more from 3 the rest of the game. Just could not hit open shots in the 1 and 4th quarters.

I wanted Miss State to win the whole thing. But that A'ja was too much. She went crazy in fourth quarter.

Why did William sit the whole fourth quarter? I didn't see the whole game or what happened.

She rolled her eyes at her coach during a time out. He told her to sit down. that was inside 2 mins of the 3rd and she didnt return.

Not sure, but it would fit into the sorority authoritarian rule that women's sports rely on.

RE: UCONN Women
Schaefer doesn't play favorites. He plays who is playing hardest. William struggled against SCs D all game. So, she didn't play in the 4th.

She had an insane game against Baylor and obviously hit the gw against Uconn, but she kind of became a different player in the tourney. She averaged about 10 points for the season. Was never a big time scorer.
