The Coastal Carolina University cheerleading squad in Conway, S.C., has been suspended amid prostitution allegations.

One cheerleader spoke to WMBF News saying an anonymous letter was sent to David DeCenzo, the school's president, and the team has been suspended indefinitely pending investigation. The letter stated the team has engaged in "a long list of things" including prostitution, paying people to complete school assignments, and purchasing alcohol for younger members of the team. Evidence of the team has been taken down from the school's website for now.

"At this time, we can only confirm the suspension because this is an ongoing investigation," CCU Vice President of Communications William Plate told thestate.com.

As of now the team's upcoming competitions have been canceled.

Of course at Baylor, stories like this aren't even really news anymore, given the other allegations.

So far nobody charged. This may turn out to be less here than it seems. Anonymous letter, and police released everyone after questioning, said to at least some of them, "you did nothing wrong." Unless somebody gets charged this could be a case of some sort of revenge on the team, to knock them out of upcoming competitions. This just doesn't add up or seem right.

From afar I have a suspect for the anonymous letter and a motive. Let's wait for something more concrete before deciding this is something real. If it's not real, then a huge injustice has been done these girls. And the University will have acted way too fast and way too harsh, group punishment with maximum severity without due process.

Hold off on judging here.
