I have put the word "that" in front of "young" in every Dedric post. I have also said that he is a tweener age wise, because of his Oct. 1st birthday. Don't know what else you want from me.
It's all good. I enjoy hearing from even fringe posters - that's why I come here. You evidently do not like hearing from them. To each his own. Just don't attack me for asking someone a question, because you don't like him.
Dedric is a young sophomore. I don't care if you say that young or just young - but he's young. There will not be a single sophomore drafted this year younger than him. About half the freshmen drafted will be older than him. He's almost as young as you can get as a sophomore.
You were arguing that he's not "that young" so people need to quit bringing up his age. He is "that young". He's still younger than about 75% of the guys who will get drafted.
'87, sorry, you are simply wrong when you say Dedric will be younger than 75% of guys who will get drafted. This will be a fact on June 22nd. Not an opinion, like you are foolish to ask a Con Man for information.
Need proof? Go to nbadraft.net, as I just did. Look at the 14 players on the top of the front page for their '17 Mock Lottery. Of the 14 players projected to be drafted in the lottery, 11, so 79%, are younger than Dedric.
Not sure why you are so invested in this delusion.
Ok, I'll go back to doing fringe stuff, whatever the hell that means. And I guess you were calling yourself a fringe poster, since you somehow allege I don't like hearing from "them", i.e., fringe posters, when I responded to you. Who knows, you're all over the place.
You limited your research to lottery picks. We have been talking overall draft this whole time. No one in their right mind thinks Dedric has a shot at the lotto.
My post from the other thread...
"I did the research. DraftExpress has 60 guys on their big board. FWIW, Dedric is not one of them, but they have a profile on him and project him as a late 2nd rounder in 2018. They have his current age at 19.5 years.
They have 11 sophomores listed. None are younger than Dedric. These sophomores average age is 20.4. They indeed average almost a full year older than Dedric.
18 freshmen are listed with an average age of 19.3. So
Dedric is not far off the mean age of this year's freshmen. 7 of these freshmen are older than Dedric right now. Lonzo Ball was born the same month Dedric was. Josh Jackson has already turned 20.
The overall average age of all 60 guys is 20.7.
Only 14 of these guys are younger than Dedric, 23%.
If Dedric were to wait until 2018 and the demographics of the past 2 drafts hold, then he would still be in the younger half of draft ages.
I think he's gone. I don't think his age is helping him much any longer - maybe a bit. The only point is he's still young for his class, and young for the draft. No other way around it."
...With Dedric's birthday on 10/1, he would be one of the youngest in his class even if every parent started their kids on time and no kids were held back. The only ones younger would be those with birthdays between 10/2 to 10/31. But you're really missing the fact that so many parents do hold their kids back these days in order to excel in athletics. That's how
Dedric would still be close to the average age if he were a freshman.
For someone who does a lot of reading and research, you are just so wrong on this one. Please think it through and accept it.
