What a guy
ASU's ex-coach has already gotten verbal commitments from 2 players he had committed/signed at ASU. So he used ASU's recruiting money to get 2 players to UNT. At least Beard didn't do that, but that may have been because none of our recruits would have been good enough to play in the Big 12. UNT is a step down from ASU at the moment, and those recruits will be factors there.
We have offered Marquis Eaton who signed with ASU in the fall, but requested a release to "explore other options". Really doubt he'd pull a "Trey Finn" and come here. I think ASU fans are still quite hopeful he will end up recommitting there. But, at this time of year some bigger programs may be looking to fill a spot so you never know. If I was ASU, I would certainly stipulate that he couldn't go to UNT, Sun Belt schools, or the pigs (if they are interested).

RE: What a guy
Marquis has some people close to him that are practically begging Arkansas to offer. It's quite unsavory honestly. AAU people who are wannabe advisors. They continue to ruin the game of basketball.

Eaton has recommitted to AState. So we kept one player from the evil clutches of Grant McCasland at least.
