Always seems more exited when the other team excels. Not really an announcers homer bone in his body.

i call that 'employed dyslexia'....it IS TOO funny when he comes with that 'inflection'...

His call of the double play that sent us to Omaha was an all-timer. I had it somewhere, but can't seem to find it.

I used to have Lance's call of the walk off grand slam against Ole Miss but I can't find it now.

I would also like to add that the title of this should be "John Cox BINGO!!!"

Man, that double play is still beautiful to watch.

Cargill's reaction was classic. Didn't one of our players end up with a gash on their face from taking a cleat?

I can understand that some in here might not like John Cox, but I actually like the guy..I know her flubbes up sometimes and all..but the one thing I like about him is his enthusiasm of the games and he shows due respect to any and all opponents ...he's a heck of a lot better than the Ole Miss commentator ...and wouldn't want any other voice calling USM games.

I like Cox. Just fun to make fun of his catchphrases and gaffes.

He's not the best PxP guy, but I sure as hell prefer him over the screaming ULL guy with the annoying radio voice or pretty much any of the other CUSA guys.

Apparently a new Coxism is holding an incredibly uninteresting conversation with the ol' southpaw and completely forgetting about the game for 1 to 2 pitches. 03-banghead

"Enough about Middletown"

His train-inspired soliloquy in Ruston a couple weeks ago was poetic.

Basically, John lived near train tracks in Middletown. As a kid, he liked trains. Thats it. That was the story.
