And no we really didn't lose good young players. All the transfers were scrubs. I think we're better now than we've been in a long time. The bar isn't really set that high to begin with.

One of the guys who left was a 3-star RS Freshman. Unless I missed something, you would think thats a good young player based on potential. Cant remember his name as he isnt listed on VC now. Either way, good potential or lack of potential, its gone now

He never played a minute for us. Not even at D1 school right now. No gain no loss.

The loss is Adrean Johnson will never play for you. He was a 3-star for a reason with 9 other D1 offers including Colorado, MTSU, and Tulsa. And he was only redshirting. You could have had 4 years with him! While theres a chance with anyone they could be a bust, its foolish to me to blow it off like he didnt matter. A program like UTRGV was all potential, a roster of talented but young players. Now two big pieces are gone, and with Johnson, a guy with Pac 12 and really good mid major offers. In a literal sense, yes he never played but that's a very ignorant way of looking at it. Programs like UTRGV, Seattle U, any WAC program should embrace 3-star freshman.

I'll give you this point, but even with the losses I still think our potential this year is higher than its been in a long time.

If Nick Dixon can improve his performance at home. You guys will be good.

UTRGV doesn't need Dixon to improve his offensive production to be better. Coach Hill needs the entire roster to adopt/commit to a more defensive mindset for them to "be good".

Dixon was a top 50 player out of conference but falls off during the last 6 weeks of season. Issac Neilson per minute played is a top 15 player in the country up there with the likes of Zach Collins, Caleb Swanigan, and John Collins.

Tillman is one of the most improved between out of conference and conference in the country.

Eli Chuha is 65th in win score and the most important to their team winning in the WAC.

Charles Dent will be transfering from Chicago State. Former Cougar, Jordan Madrid-Andrews, will be going to Richmond while Gentry Hunt is headed to Grand Valley State

He is a proven D1 player who despite his lack of height (6'6 or 6'7) should be a strong inside presence for them. If nothing else he will grab a ton of rebounds, and score some points inside.

He is a good addition but to bad he'll only play 1 year and half for UTRGV.
