RE: All-time AP Top 100
Top 100 ap football programs all time

Houston 48
SMU 55
Navy 62
Tulane 70
Tulsa 77
Cincinnati 81
East Carolina 88
USF 91
Temple 100

Interesting if we looked at conference championships and ny6 bowl bids as well. I know Tulsa has a few, Houston too, SMU make a few cotton bowls? Tulane? Uconn has its fiesta bowl appearence but isn't on here. Navy I am sure has a few.

Others of interest

BYU 34 (highest ranked non P5)
Army 43
Boise st 59
Air Force 67
Rice 69
Wyoming 71
Fresno St 72
Southern Miss 72
Toledo 76
Colorado St 77
Miami, Oh 81
Marshall 91
Nevada 100
Bowling Green 100

BYU and Boise St stand out, Army and Air Force seem to be at another level in national respect as well.

After that it starts getting jumbled.

MWC has 6
AAC has 9
No other conference is close.

Cincy and miami, oh are the same rank, odd being so close how differently they are viewed, basketball I think helps a lot in that national perception.

Houston is the second highest ranked non P5 program. Several of our programs out rank P5 teams.
