Former Rep Stockman (R-TX) Indicted
For theft from a charity. One of the lowest things imaginable! You might remember Steve as the assclown who invited Ted Nugent to Obama's SOTU a few years back.

Quote:A former United States representative from Texas and one of his aides were indicted on Tuesday on charges that they stole hundreds of thousands of dollars meant for charity, some of which was used to illegally finance his campaigns.

The former representative, Steve Stockman, 60, and the former director of special projects in his congressional office, Jason Posey, 46, were charged in a 28-count indictment related to the alleged yearslong fraud scheme. The charges included mail and wire fraud, conspiracy, making false statements to the Federal Election Commission and money laundering, the Justice Department said in a statement.

Mr. Stockman, a Republican, solicited $1.25 million in charitable donations from May 2010 to October 2014 that was later used for other purposes, the Justice Department said.

Maybe he figured he was the perfect candidate for charity and he obliged himself. LOL

Way back in 1994, Stockman defeated one of the most deeply entrenched members of Congress -- a fellow by the name of Jack Brooks. The district really wasn't very Republican but Clinton had just gotten into the White House and suddenly the Democrats dropped 54 seats at the first midterm, and Stockman's victory was one of the most shocking of all.

Even in those long-ago days, he seemed a bit unstable. Reports that he had been homeless for a while... Obscure reaction to the OKC bombing... Zero interest in fund-raising or going along with Gingrich/House leadership.

Sorry to hear about this but not really that shocked.

Good find. I like to see assclowns get nailed to the wall when they get caught being jackasses. It doesn't matter to me which party - bad behavior is bad behavior.

It's always over a relatively small amount of money too.

Throw your future away for less than a million bucks?

Just for perspective I submit the following.

http://pilotonline.com/news/local/crime/...eafa2.html

The article never specifies the political party of the individual. He is a Democrat. Proving once again the unbiased nature of the media.
