Great outing (again) by Moss. Esquivel in the bottom of the 7th after Moss gets the first two outs of the inning. Moss goes a full 3 innings with no runs and only one hit. Esquivel gets the K to end the inning. To the top of the 8th, still tied 3-3.

Any time Sammy the Owl meets Sammy Bearkat, you can throw out the records.

Good start to the 5 game road trip.

FINALLY a well played game against a quality team. Strong pitching by Jefferies, Moss and Esquivel (who has really pitched well the past 3+ weeks), lights out closing job by the Otto-man, good defense and timely, clutch hitting. One can only hope it's the start of a true turnaround.

A bunch of us are roadtripping down to Boca Raton for the weekend series vs. a very, very good and potent FAU offense (they have 5 guys with 5 or more HRs already, and are hitting well over .300 as a team with an OBP above .420.

Sheppard is really coming on strong. It's about time The OG moved him up in the order ahead of a slumping Warren, Sarchet/Wunderlich and Gray, who has yet to find his stroke after missing the first month of the season.

Onward and upward.
