The HC (Willie Fritz) hasn't said. Officially, there are 3 choices. I like Cuiellette and hope he gets a fair chance, but I have to believe they wouldn't have brought in the Juco guy (Jonathan Banks: 4-star out of HS but didn't cut it at Kansas State) if they were satisfied with the pass-offense last season (126th in FBS for yards gained, 128th for pass-efficiency).

LOL, that coach just joined the Houston staff (OL) under Applewhite. I have a ton of personal respect for Chris Scelfo but I have a hunch he won't be calling the plays.

I think Tech should be able to take #FailState at home. Less confident about South Carolina, who gave USF more of a game than I expected in bowl season. Winning isn't out of the question, but I don't expect to be favored unless we're 3-0 going in, and even that's a stretch.

They also almost let UMass come back and beat them at home. Depends on which team shows up and what our defense is like.

you really believe this? VT and UNC will likely beat ODU by 14+.

As popular as it is to hate on SEC scheduling, as far as CUSA is concerned - the SEC is willing to go on the road.

- 3 SEC: Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Kentucky
- 1 ACC: UNC
- 1 P12: Arizona

SEC is trying to pad their OOC schedule and giving up a home game so they can get back on top of the FB world. Last season, SEC took a beating in their OOC games.

I would be thrilled if that happened. Better hope that Hoy is the real deal.

Did Southern Miss do that too? Couldn't believe it when we did that.

You bring up a valid point regarding the SEC schedule. The SEC was definitely down in 2016, and could be willing to give up home games to G5 schools in the hopes of getting some wins. I hope our AD is trying to get a P5 to Apogee

I found an article that had the P5 records in bowls, OOC regular season, without FCS: http://m.newsok.com/article/5533355

The ACC clearly had a great year. This article also supported my claim that the Big "12" is by far the weakest of the so called Power five conferences.

Well, the article goes strictly by wins and losses in the various categories, irrespective of who the P5, G5, or whatever teams were. While there's certainly no perfect rating system, I think the article oversimplifies it.

Sagarin has the Big 12 in 4th and the Big 10 in 5th. Massey's Composite has the Big 10 in 4th at 51.25, and the Big 12 in 5th at 52.27, which is a pretty dainty margin. But yeah, with the Longhorns floundering for a 3rd consecutive year under Charlie Strong, the Big 12 felt it. Texas will be back with a vengeance with Herman at the helm now though, and pretty much the only thing that might lure him away from UT might be an NFL offer.

Didnt feel like wasting my time with Sunbelt, MW and MAC teams.

Don't tell me you believe in that p6 nonsense.

No I just consider the AAC to be a better conference that C-USA right now. I never said anything about P6. The P5 and AAC teams were the most note worthy and Army just kept showing up.
Last season every G5 conference was better than CUSA. During bowl season CUSA beat them in head to head matchups. The only two bowl wins the AAC had were against teams with an overall losing record.

The AAC also plays im decent bowls vs decent opponents. We play scrubs.

Well we played 2 bowls against the AAC and won both. Same thing last year.

I highly doubt their willingness to go on the road and pad their schedule is a result of last year, especially when most if not all the games were scheduled before last season even began.
