the way we have been doing things on the cheap has worked out quite well for us, hasn't it? And who said that he would never want to leave. The idea is to keep them more like 5-7 years or more . It's really not hard to comprehend after what just happened that giving him an extension and a raise that would keep him here to see what he can do over the next few years might be a better thing than starting over every 3 years.

Sure. Worked well in football, to make sure the next guy stayed after Graham left after one year.
i wrote Leebron ~ 5 years ago asking why DB still had a job.
he has not has sustained success warranting keeping him. both our recruiting and W-L are. up in MBB, as was enthusiasm for the program . Cant say that for FB, or BB. Would also say that we should not let Langley get away at this point, either.

Actually you could say that for football five years ago, and some believed that warranted keeping Bailiff. You had your doubts about Bailiff, but lots of people didn't. Rhoades had one winning season, and an overall losing record, and was having little success recruiting this year.
