Sorry,slight thread derail. For some reason your thread made me google "wood penny". Then i discover the "sole collector signature penny pack" about 6 years too late. Oh, how i wish i owned one of these crates. Looks like they were expensive. One sold on ebay for $8,000.

I agree about the paycheck . I was talking about the experience of learning the curve of coaching college kids. Just a thought , so I threw it out there .

@mgiannotto Let's just say I don't think there's anything imminent on the recruiting front at the moment.

Penny brings back all of his key players next year. Lomax and Moss will be Seniors. Lawson and Dandridge will be Juniors. Plus, he'll be able to add more players. East could easily win 2 more State championships in the next couple of years. I think he likes what he's doing and certainly doesn't need the money, so...to answer the OP... I don't see it.

Still wish we had hired him instead of Tubby. FWIW.

He won't leave for a lesser job

No college program will pay Penny a coke and a pack of crackers to coach their school
