What an awesome shot of Dawkins with the apple. Like a shepherd leading his flock. Hopefully the experience convinced a lot of those 10,011 come back next season. One of my favorite UCF memories was in that arena with ~7k in attendance for a triple overtime win over Tulsa.

Well, UCF's fairly new AD, Danny White, did seem to make a very good hire in Johnny Dawkins but just like at most schools, where diehard fans "give a dang", UCF Bandwagoners didn't really show up this season much outside the Cinci game and then obviously for the NIT Quarterfinal game vs Illinois.

UCF's student sections this year weren't close to being filled for most games this year even with free t-shirt giveways and it took having Illinois come to town to see who moves on to MSG for them to fill up their sections.

Hopefully some of these bangwagon groups will learn to show up for almost every game...as with the new timing rules, College Hoop games can be over in well under 2 hours, perfect for this ADHD Generation.

It's more of a what have you done for me lately type of society. When USF was an at large selection, won two games and was a bad call and basket away from the Sweet 16 a few years ago, we saw the same interest in the program you guys are experiencing. Unfortunately, Heath didn't sustain the momentum and the bump in season tix and student attendance was quickly lost within two seasons and he was fired shortly afterwards.

It would be great for the conference if Dawkins would stay at UCF longterm and he could build....but odds are against. Not trying to be DebbieDowner...but rather enjoy it while you can b/c there are no guarantees.

Basketball is a tough sell in Florida as the first major obstacle. 2nd is both Orlando and Tampa have other entertainment options if our team stinks. The positive is we have a large metro and student population if we win. The crowd last week of 10,000 is what UCF could do if we can make a nice run next year. With transfers USF could be back in 2 years with the right coach and getting lucky with recruiting.

UCF - please beat the Frogs. They still suck at basketball but are acting all puffed up now. Their Ft worth little man syndrome is insufferable and embarrasses them daily. And they aren't very good at what they are in business to do - educate.

A thrashing would be nice, and we would consider it a favor.

I will be rooting for an UCF victory. They are a 2.5 points underdog, presently.
