Here is where self professed great coach needs to turn mediocre talent into a winner. Anyone can win with the best talent. Now do it with marginal talent. Time to show something.

Funny how some posters only show up on game threads for losses. When Rice wins, nothing good to say. But they don't have an axe to grind, no, they're true fans who care.

I love posting atta boys when we win...just haven't had many chances this year.

Agree though that we Rice fans are too often gloom & doom. I'll make extra efforts on the atta boys when deserved.

How convenient the one size fits all "an axe to grind" when someone is critical yet ass kissing after a win is perfectly acceptable. if you think this team's talent level is equal to 7-19 then you should be accepting of the leadership. The talent is not equivalent to a 7-19 team. This team at worse is a .500 team. This team will have to fight hard to make the CUSA tournament. It was obvious Myers didn't have it today. It is also clear he is a better reliever than starter. Otto is not having a good year at all based on expectations. Swap Otto and Myers for christ sake. Wake up!

Time to give Dunlop consistent at bats and see what he can do. Not 1 game and sit for 5 more. Play him an entire week. Wunderlich and Sarchet don't deserve to play over him. Gray has been atrocious upon his return. No other option but please move him down further in the lineup. Put Lammons behind the plate and move DiCapiro to DH. Kravetz and Amador look lost. They now have a scouting report on Kravetz. When he puts the ball over the plate essentially batting practice. Jeffries and Myers should close. Otto, Canterino and Esqivel to start. Give Garcia a shot again. Wait I forgot he is in the Graham doghouse with the key thrown away. Come on man.....wake up.

It's not funny. It's sad. They and they're friends can have this season though. He's right, time for a new coach. And he's right, its his program now. It's disappointing his squad couldn't send one of the greatest of all time out a winner.

Its also unfortunate whoever that guy is doesn't understand that's all anyone on these boards is hoping for. He doesn't realize that 5, 10, 20 years from now nobody remembers the individual line ups or the in game decisions. They remember heart, passion, and the excitement of truly competing. That's what's kept Rice baseball fans coming back year after year. He'll see one day it was that's what this team lacked...not some mythical coach who inspires mediocre talent to greatness without chewing them out. That's also what will have more and more stop caring to do go watch in the future. As he said, even Corbin only gets this team to .500.

The rest of us simply have to hope that maybe everything snaps back in place and we get one more run of wins like we used to expect. Or at the the next coach, whenever that may be can be as wonderful as this guy thinks is just wondering around out there that we're missing out on.

He got what he wanted. A terrible season and the end of an era. That's not funny, it's sad.

Berkman and Pettitte may attempt to buy out Graham's contract. Overheard it, not sure if it's true. Also not sure how that would work legally. Interesting thought though.

In some good news for Rice, looks like Tyler Duffey is going to be the 5th starter for the Twins to start out the season. Pretty cool!
