RE: FIU vs Rice, Sunday game
After Proctor scored on a sac fly and a walk to load the bases, Sheppard goes yard.

5-0 Rice now in T2.

Sheppard has the best power we've seen in a couple years.

Top of 2nd

FIU gets two on 1st and 2nd.
Graham with 5 minute conversation with umps. Nothing changed but the OG not happy with something.
Sac bunt moves runners up
HR to right, 3 runs score. So much for smugness

End of 1-2, Rice 5 - 3

Proctor tries to pull an outside pitch ... hits into a 4-6-3 double play. Grrr.

RE: FIU vs Rice, Sunday game
The issue Coach had was that the FIU player ostensibly batted out of order. The guy who batted was not listed on the original lineup submitted. According to the FIU sports info person, the FIU coach communicated the change verbally to the home umpire just prior to the at bat, but the home umpire did not communicate that to anyone else. But, because FIU made the attempt to notify, they let it go.

RE: FIU vs Rice, Sunday game
Would love to see a transcript of WG's conversation with the home plate ump en route to his T4 chat with Myers. He talked to him, then walked toward the mound and took a step, turned back to the ump and talked to him again, turned back to the mound and took a step, then turned back to the ump and they approached each other and had words yet again, before WG finally turned to the mound and made it to Myers.

FIU vs Rice, Sunday game
Too much focus on BS and not nearly enough on the physical & metal state of our players. Amazing we could go from GS 5-0 to down 6-5 within just a few innings.

Top of 4th cont

2B down RF line scores 2, now 6 - 5 FIU, runner on 2nd, 1 out
3B ump has been jawing with DIU dugout
Myers walks batter, runners on 1st & 2nd, still only 1 out
Must be something wrong with Myers. Pitching change coming
