Last night, my Mom's favorite team, the GCSC Lady Commodore basketball Team repeated for the second year as the NJCAA Division 1 National Champions by defeating Trinity Valley in the finals of the NJCAA National Tournament in Lubbock Texas. The Lady Commodores finished the season with a 34-2 record. Their coach, Roonie Scovel, has amassed an overall record of 547 wins and 73 losses in 19 seasons at GCSC. Many of her junior college lady athletes have gone on to play two more seasons at major colleges. Congratulations to the 2017 Gulf Coast Lady Commodores.

Maybe it is if we can get some recruits from them, Lord knows we need them, so far Oregon is my team to beat oh shoot they play UConn. Women's Basketball at UAB who would of thought. Mr. Norton (Nicks Dad must see something or he would not of left a strong career as a High School basketball coach to take a Job like that. Gona have to get Keven Jackson,s Daughter from Dothan in the Birmingham. Keven played Juco and was an all American at that School across the other town - t-town. Cause they Ain't.

Do they have a softball team with any prospects?

Where have some of Roonie Scovels Gulf Coast State College graduates gone on to play? See for yourself. Impressive, to say the least.
