Well. This place hasn't changed much
Good evening, my fellow brothers in arms, adversaries, and assorted odds and ends.

I thought that the advent of trump would change the poles of conventional politics. but what I'm seeing is that the poles of conventional politics are changing him -- "normalizing" him, so to speak.

I hope that's not the case, because God knows our poles need changing.

my wife thinks he's literally satan incarnate. after much thought, I think he's the change that the electorate has been asking for since they dumped Bush41 for the serial sexual predator.

I think any agent of actual change is a good thing.

there. I said it.

I'll simply put it this way.

What we had, or have had, for the last16 years just wasn't working. I've said, and said at the time, that Trump was about numero 18 in a field of 17 for me. BUT he is, and was, a far cry better than having his opponent squatting in the office, and God forbid it's spouse.

So I'm hoping, cheering, wishing for the best. I'll take the "pom-pom waver" label as long as needed if it actually means he follows through on what he's said he will. I'm fine with that. I'm fine with his buffoonish tweets. I'll tolerate his rather dismissive treatment of his lovely wife. I'll put up with some of those around him being dumbasses and if need be, lock their dumbasses up.

I really, honestly don't care about the "man". I care about what they DO.

We've effectively spent an entire generation worrying about crap like mens/womens bathrooms, chicks on submarines, smoking dope, and countless other "causes" that really don't matter a damn wit to 98.65% of the real people out here.

Get some real ish done. If it's Trump? Godspeed. If its his replacement cause he's failed like every one of them since 1992? Then fine.

Been a long time comin'. 07-coffee3
