I know Meyer and Lott went home for the weekend. Not sure about Cashew.

Already planned. I think Ako was the 3rd. Also heard we hired our 1st assistant, a former player of Scott's.

Anything interesting said? I was disappointed that there was no streaming video and I haven't seen any archived video either. Bummer that I could watch Coach rhoades's introduction to VCU, but not Coach Pera's to Rice.

Just saw the story on Fox 26-very good, great publicity. Typical though butchering of the facts, implying that Harden was part of Pera's first state championship (correct is that Harden was on Pera's second)

They just announced Pera at the Rockets game. Needless to say, after a few St Arnold's, I went nuts.

JVG, I believe, also talked about Pera taking over at Rice on the national broadcast of the Rockets vs. Thunder game on ABC and the connection with Harden. Said Harden sits with Tudor, Trauber, Youngkins and other big donors.

Austin Meyer and Ako Adams had already met for their one on one meeting with Pera and were allowed to go home for their 1st trip home since the season started. Those 2 are staying at Rice.

I think all this will help recruiting tremendously. It will be pretty impressive if Harden walks into a recruit's home with Coach Pera.
