RE: 2018 Football Recruiting
Okam's tweet never turned into anything...
But we did just get a commit from James Bagnell of Corpus Christi Flour Bluff. However, he hasn't played a down yet for them. Played his first three years of high school outside of Philly. He's an OT, 6'7" 315 LBS.

RE: 2018 Football Recruiting
2nd commit of 2018 is 6-6, 225 DE Miles Adams of Strake Jesuit. Definitely has size but will have to beef up (and he probably can with that frame) to play college ball. I've got some Strake connections so will try to find out some scoop on him but here's his highlight video in the meantime.

RE: 2018 Football Recruiting
Got another commit (CB) today out of Kempner in Sugar Land. Offers from the service academies, eNeMaS U, and a few other FCS school. Looks like a projectable frame at the very least...
Defensive recruiting looks to going pretty well to be honest. Stewart is always tagged in the tweets from recruits so I think people like him.
The offensive side of the ball is a different story. Our one commit on that side of the ball is an OL with no other offers. Also, OL is a position we should be able to recruit easily.

I'm not really sure how we're recruiting anyone with the current coaching contract situation. I agree defense is going better than expected. The CB from Kempner was apparently first team all region with 6 INTs and had a game with 3 INT.

RE: 2018 Football Recruiting
Jordan Oliver is the DB from Kempner. We also have a commit from Jason White, a DB from Bishop Dunne in Dallas, according to 24/7. So that's 5 commits already. I'm hoping the early signing period means we have less guys flipped on us at the last moment.

I assume Luke is on the left - who is on the right? His dad's tweet says they have been friends and teammates since like they were 6 or 7.

Saw on his twitter that his little brother is 6'5" 220 in 8th grade

Yeah, win some, lose some. Surprising too because Bailiff's kids went to school with him.
On another note, we just got another commit. This time a running back from Cibolo Steele, Brenden Brady.
Three-star, offers from Duke, Toledo, Marshall, UTSA, New Mexico, and others.

I doubt Bailiff's kids played with Allen. I don't believe he played varsity as a sophomore. I know Bailiff wanted him badly but I always thought it was a longshot. We're still in the running for a couple of Ridge Point kids including a DL and a DB that I told Coach Lynch about (at that point his only offers were SFA and some DII school but Nevada just recently offered him). ETA - actually Knowledge Smith committed to Nevada. That was the player I told Lynch about - we need to keep on him because that's one we might be able to flip during the year. He's a late bloomer who hasn't played football that long as he played basketball his first few years in high school.
