The numbers are freaking insane! Juarez was the focus of a lot of crap because they had 500 girls missing over the course of several years. DC breaks the 500 mark in only 3 months! How is this not a serious ******* problem?!

I was replying to the link about 500+ this year. Says 22 open cases. Your link just on the first page of 9 cases shows people going back to '72 and '77. And says 338 going back at least that far. So I assume my assumption is correct. There aren't 501 unaccounted for this year alone.

Kids get reported missing. Most of them are found out playing, with friends, with another parent or are runaways.

I'm READING the link. An alarming headline that if you get past says 22 open cases. No hypothesizing. Just assumptions based on logic. If there are 338 cases going back to the early '70 or farther, kind of gives me pause when someone claims 500 in 3 months. I assume parents are the same everywhere and are worried when they don't know where their kids are and report it.

Those 338 are active cases in VA, a stone's throw away from DC.
